What is Gua Sha therapy?
Gua Sha means 'scraping'. The therapist applies oil, then draws a smooth tool along the muscles in long, repeated strokes. The skin turns pink or red where the tool has passed, which is expected and fades over a few days.

- Keep the area warm and covered for the rest of the day.

Does Gua Sha hurt?
Gua Sha feels like firm, repeated pressure. It can be intense on tight muscles but should not be painful. Ask your therapist to lighten the strokes at any time.
